New Website Design, Yay!
Welcome to the primary informational source for all things TFCL! This website is technically operating as an alpha, but since it's mostly intended to serve as an informational resource for TFCL Play and TFCL Prime, we figured we'd launch...
READ FULL ARTICLE →Introducing TFCL Play!
Remember how we said we would just focus on a core league experience? We lied. TFCL Play is a separate platform (play.tfcleague.com) for pickup games, server reservations, community-run tournaments, and a public API anyone can plug a tournament platform into.
Alpha 2 Signups Extended
Team and player registration moves from June 17th to July 5th, with week 1 matches kicking off on July 8th and July 10th. Two extra weeks to finalize rosters and dial in scrims before the season starts.
Alpha 2 Delayed
Alpha 2 needs more time to cook. Server creation works, match reporting does not. Signups will open as soon as both halves of the automation are stable. Delay could last a few days or a few weeks.
TFCL Stream Q&A #1
We did an impromptu Q&A on stream the other night. VOD is included for anyone who missed it. This article will be updated within 24 hours with key takeaways and talking points.
Welcome To Alpha 2: $500 Prize Pool, Servers, Automatic Match Reporting
Registration for TFCL second alpha test begins May 23rd. $500 prize pool split across the top three teams, free to play, Open division focus. Every match gets its own assigned server.
Alpha 2: Server Network & Automation
TFCL will provide match servers for all matches, and will automatically report match scores for you. (The sarcasm joke stayed. We did not copy-paste a bad AI paragraph this time.) Alpha 2 registration opens March 26th.
Alpha Season Information
Alpha 1 tests core league infrastructure. Alpha 2 tests automatic server integration. Alpha 3 tests the payment system and automatic pool and medal distributions. Three alphas, three goals, one launch.
TFCL Revival: What Makes This Time Different?
We have been here before. We have made promises. We have overpromised. So what makes this time any different? Three things: building in secret, doing the bare minimum, and running three alpha tests instead of one big launch.
Let's Talk About Bans [updated]
How TFCL handles banned players, why we do not mirror RGL bans, why we do mirror UGC bans for now, how the anti-cheat team works, and how players can appeal a ban they feel is unfair.
